Mouthwateringly Good Bacon Blue Cheese Ball

I needed a seriously good appetizer the other day for a party. This Mouthwateringly Good Bacon Blue Cheese Ball more than fit the bill.

Knocked it out of the park and into the sky.

So, if you need a great appetizer, this Bacon Blue Cheese Ball is calling your name.

Now, I love a good cheeseball.

Don’t get me wrong, they’re all good.

But the addition of the bacon and pecans on the outside of this Mouthwateringly Good Bacon Blue Cheese Ball?! Freaking genius.

You start with your “normal” cheese ball ingredients (is there really such a thing as “normal”?) like onion, cheese, spices, some bacon–that kind of thing.

But, you gotta add plenty of blue cheese crumbles.

Because that’s going to combine with the bacon and pecans and BAM!

Bring that all together with your cream cheese and stir, stir, stir.

Look at it, just the perfect combo right there, waiting for the finishing touch of that crumbly bacon and pecan outer layer.

Now, this is always where I make the world’s biggest mess somehow.

But you’re supposed to roll it up in the cling wrap and then refrigerate–but I always seem to get it all over my hands.

I’m just a mess that way, I guess.

Once it’s all re-solidified in the fridge, it’s time for that magic to happen that makes this Bacon Blue Cheese Ball so special to me…mmmm…bacon…

Also, I would like to note, this is also a messy part.

And I may or may not have had a teeny bite of bacon while working…

That’s what you get if you’re the chef, though, right?! That’s what my mom always told me, anyway.

Plus, who’s going to know if I helped myself clean that little bit of plate up after I was all said and done putting the bacon and pecans on the outside of MY Bacon Blue Cheese Ball?!

Me?

Well, I’m not going to tell.

Erhm, except to you guys.

Apparently, I’ll tell you. Awkward.

Not to make anything even more awkward, but if you tell anyone that I stole a bite of bacon and pecan (and possibly a bite of the Bacon Blue Cheese Ball after I was done taking the pictures), I will hurt you.

Not like maim.

Just a mean-stare, maybe. LOL!
