Is this the last generation that will get the fun of experiencing the Snow Day?

Kids EVERYWHERE hope and pray for a Snow Day every single time there is a hint of a freeze in the forecast. There’s nothing more fun than when Jack Frost blesses us with a kiss of snow that cancels school for the day!

But let’s face it, every school in the United States has now caught onto the fact that kids can learn from home with a simple wifi hookup and a smart device or computer.

This virtual learning was all fun and games, until our Snow Days were threatened!!

NYC has officially cancelled all the Snow Days for this academic school year, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the rest of the country follows in these chilly footprints before the winter weather starts.

If there is a need for a snow day this winter, in-person classes will be canceled that day, and everyone will learn remotely, the Department of Education said.

After losing so many academic days at the end of last year, and starting school late THIS year, the school districts have to squeeze in every bit of learning time that they can, and this can now consist of virtual remote learning. Every student just collectively groaned.

As we reopen schools for this critical school year, we are utilizing all of the lessons learned from remote schooling this spring to maximize our students’ instructional time.
