This just might be the most stupid thing I have ever heard of.

I mean, this beats out the dude who purposely let a Tracker Jacker — er, I mean Murder Hornet — sting him. This even beats out the geniuses who were licking toilet seats, because they are cool like that.

What am I talking about? Coronavirus parties. *SMH*

Not only are these parties dedicated to the pandemic, you get a prize if you are the first to contract the virus.

I told you — STUPID!

This is happening in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Only in the south, am I right?!?*

People who actively have the coronavirus are asked to attend these soirees. A bunch of non-sick individuals also attend at the same time. Obviously, masks are NOT a thing at these parties.

It costs money to get into these idiotic parties, and there is a door prize of sorts.

The goal is to be the first person to contract the virus from one of the infected individuals. The “winner” receives the money made by the ticket sales.

We thought that was kind of a rumors at first. We did some research, not only do the doctors’ offices confirm it, but the state confirmed they also had the same information.

This is not political. This is a public health issue. People are dying and there is no cure. We have to do whatever we can to save as many lives as possible.

The city is trying to break up the parties, and to urge people to follow social distancing guidelines. They want LESS cases of the coronavirus, not more.

A new mask ordinance goes into effect in Tuscaloosa on Monday, but I seriously doubt the party goers in question will care about such inconveniences as masks.

What do you think? Would you attend one of these parties?

*I can be all judgey, because I grew up in the south.
