I Just Finished ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ And I Am So Obsessed With The Story That I Need A Second Season Now
I do my best to pay attention to Netflix’s Top Ten line up, in hopes of actually staying relevant these days. (Blame it on having two toddlers).
P.S. there’s no spoilers in the post. This is a safe place.
The current #1 show, The Queen’s Gambit, definitely caught my eye. It was in the #10 slot whenever I decided to give it a try, but leapt to #1 within a few hours!
It is a limited series, consisting of only 7 episodes, and it stole my heart. I don’t know what to do now that I have finished the series! I’m so sad it’s over!
Since it is based off of a book, my first step is to read that immediately. My obsession is strong on this one. There’s so many loose ends on the romantic sides of things, plus needing to know what she does with the rest of her life. I need to know ALL THE THINGS!
This show blew me away. If you are still skeptical about it, please trust me on this. It’s worth it! It has intrigue, drama, mystery, romance, suspense, intelligence, and everything wrapped into the perfect design of a show. Hats off to whoever orchestrated this masterpiece.
This show gave me more goosebumps and feelings than I ever expected it to have. It left me wanting so much more and I was so distraught when it ended! I cannot express how much this series hit me in the soul!

I finished the final episode last night and had to rewatch the entire show this morning. I don’t think I have ever felt so moved by a show as Queens Gambit! The actress who played Beth was so completely mesmerizing. Her expressions alone showed more depth of emotions then I have ever seen. I am also obsessed with the music, the outfits, the other characters , and the Chess!
I was equally mesmerized by this series, unprecedented emotions. I am completely depressed now that it is over – re-watched it 2 more times. Feels like a huge heartbreak, cannot watch anything else now for the next month….. What a genius to create this series.
I just finished it too! I can’t stop thinking about the show it’s driving me crazy! I hope they do decide to come out with a second season.
