You Can Now Drive A Real-Life Mario Kart Around Your Home Using Your Nintendo Switch
Without a doubt my kids are about to freak out!!! One of our favorite games — Mario Kart — can now be played FOR REAL in your home using your Nintendo Switch!!
I said my kids are going to freak out — but really, I’m ALL ABOUT this game. Like, I want it for Christmas, my birthday, my anniversary, and every gift-giving holiday in between!
It is called Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, and it is the new reality in Mario Kart game play.
Okay. Let me try to describe this game to you. It uses an ACTUAL remote controlled car — the Mario Kart — that really speeds around your house. But, you use the remote controller and on-screen augmented reality to play this game.
According to CNN Business, you need about 10 to 12 feet of free space around your home. You actually get to set up your own race course, adding all kinds of obstacle and gates.
I’m not going to lie, I already have the track built in my mind, and I’m gonna beat anyone who dares challenge me!
There is a camera on the vehicle, and it is really close to the ground, so you can see everything around the car.
On the screen, you see your own home. You also see fictional objects that are filtered in through AR (think game tokens and such).
If you want to play other actual humans (multiplayer game), all individuals must have their own kart and system — so GO GET YOURS!!
Up to four people can race together, but each must buy their own Kart and Switch, which would cost a total of more than $1,000.
