A zoo in Amarillo, Texas caught a super weird — something — on its security camera, and they are asking for the public’s help to try and solve the mystery of what it is.

There are some things that we’ve forever heard tales of, but nobody has ever come up with definitive proof that they exist.

The Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, the Yeti, and aliens are a few of the things that conspiracy theorists love to debate.

But, perhaps my favorite controversial being, the one people SWEAR exists, is the Chupacabra.

chupacabra, in Latin American popular legend, a monstrous creature that attacks animals and consumes their blood. The name is derived from the Spanish words chupar (“to suck”) and cabra (“goat”) and can be translated as “goat-sucker.”

A Chupacabra is, to the south, what Bigfoot is to North America. Except it’s more monsterlike, and drinks the blood of animals.

According to National Geographic, Chupacabras have only been on the radar since the 1990s, when they were first reported in Puerto Rico.

In 2010, scientists thought they had cracked the Chupacabra code. They thought that these supposid Chupacabras were wild coyotes with a severe case of mange.

[Mange is] a painful, potentially fatal skin disease that can cause the animals’ hair to fall out and skin to shrivel, among other symptoms.

Does The Chupacabra Really Exist?

But, I prefer to believe that the ACTUAL Chupacabra exists out there, and it’s NOT a mangy coyote.

People at the zoo in Amarillo, Texas seem to agree with my opinion on the Chupacabra.

In the dark and early morning hours of May 21 (around 1:25 a.m.), security cameras inside a perimeter fence at the Amarillo Zoo captured a strange image outside the zoo.

Something was caught on their surveillance cameras, and they don’t have an explanation for what it is.

Was it a person with a strange hat who likes to walk at night? A large coyote on its hind legs? A Chupacabra? It is a mystery – for Amarillo to help solve.

Since nobody can figure out what this weird creature is, they are referring to it as an Unidentified Amarillo Object (UAO).

If you have any ideas as to what the UAO is, you can contact the City of Amarillo at publiccommunications@amarillo.gov.

We just want to let the Amarillo community have some fun with this,” said City of Amarillo Director of Parks and Recreation Michael Kashuba. “It is important to note that this entity was outside the Amarillo Zoo. There were no signs of attempted entry into the zoo. No animals or individuals were harmed. There were no signs of criminal activity or vandalism. It is definitely a strange and interesting image. Maybe Amarillo can help solve the mystery of our UAO.
