Target’s mobile app is known to offer all sorts of deals from mobile only coupons to discounted online-only items.
But what most people don’t know is that the online price you see is often a “on-the-go sale price” and as soon as you get within a few hundred feet of a Target store, the price in the app will change back up to full price.
Sounds like some trickery doesn’t it?

Listening to that video all I can think is that in one way it seems like this is deceiving.
On the other hand, it’s a brilliant marketing strategy because it enticing customers to shop in-store.
Either way, it’s a hack worth paying attention to.
If you catch this while shopping, make sure you take a screenshot and supply that to customer service while checking out. They are supposed to do a price adjustment for you in-store.
