There is a haunted house that lets you stay right in your car while you experience the fright.

In this time of social distancing, one spooky experience allows you to stay behind closed doors, while still being scared out of your mind.

In Tokyo, there is a place where you can go to experience being trapped in your car during a zombie outbreak — and I’m glad it’s WAY on the other side of the world!!

It’s no secret, I’m what you call a TOTAL CHICKEN when it comes to all things haunted and scary, and this just might be too much for my fragile psyche. Ha!

For this crazy creepy experience, you go to a completely nondescript building, and park in their covered parking garage. The lights go out, and that’s when the scary starts.

Via a set of bluetooth speakers, the story begins.

“Around these parts, there’s a legend that the ghosts attack humans. Honk your horn three times if you want to hear more.”

You then get a delightful 17 minutes of zombies, blood, and complete terror. Like, they actually cover your car in fake blood and spooky handprints. *No Thank You*

What happens if you don’t have a car? A rental car will be provided for you! They wouldn’t want you to miss out on the fun just because you don’t drive.

And, just in case the zombies and blood aren’t enough for you, they have an EXTRA bloody package that runs about $9 more. I mean, for 9 bucks, you almost HAVE to get the package!

Never fear, everyone is kept as COVID safe as possible. The cars are wiped down with alcohol BEFORE the terror commences to minimize the chance of contamination for the actors.

At the end of the “night” of terror, the car is again wiped down, not only to clean off all the “blood”, but to disinfect the car from all the freaky handprints.

Summer is traditionally peak season for ghost stories in Japan, a popular way to chill out on a hot night. Iwana says scary films and games have always been a part of his life.

That’s why Kenta Iwana, founder of the scary experience known as Kowagarasetai’s, chose to host this spooky spectacular in the summer months.

This haunted house has been SO popular, Iwana is bringing it back when the weather gets just a little bit cooler.

He says there is already a waiting list of over 1,000 people that want to get in on the zombie adventure. Y’all have fun with that. Ha!

I’m going to be staying right over here with my Rainbows, Unicorns, Fairies, and other non-scary creatures.
