Tim Allen is one of my favorites, I truly believe he is one of the funniest humans alive.

When I think of Buzz Lightyear I automatically hear Tim’s voice in my head, I mean he IS Buzz!

When I heard about the new ‘Lightyear’ movie I was a bit shocked when I found out that Tim Allen would not be the voice of Buzz… like, what? Why?

I haven’t even thought about spending the money on the theater, but if Tim had been Buzz I would have already taken my grown children to the movie.

Well, Tim Allen has finally spoken about how he feels about the new ‘Lightyear’ movie.

I’ve stayed out of this. We talked about this many years ago…but the brass that did the first four movies is not this. It’s a whole new team that really had nothing to do with the first movies.

In fact, when Tim heard that they were making a live-action movie about Buzz Lightyear, he didn’t think it would be animated, he assumed it would be humans.

There’s really no ‘Toy Story’ Buzz without Woody. I’m not sure what the idea—I’m a plot guy. It would seem to be a big adventure story, and as I see, it’s not a big adventure story. It’s a wonderful story, it just doesn’t seem to have any connection to the toy. It has no relationship to Buzz.

‘Lightyear’ is a prequel to ‘Toy Story’ and Tim Allen voiced Buzz Lightyear in every single movie… except this one.

Chris Evans is the voice of Buzz in ‘Lightyear’ and many people were surprised and wanted to know why… I mean it isn’t that they don’t like Chris, but he isn’t Buzz.

Even ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ star, Patricia Heaton took to Twitter to express her disappointment with the change.

Saw the trailer for Buzz Lightyear and all I can say is Disney/Pixar made a HUGE mistake in not casting my pal @ofctimallen Tim Allen in the role that he originated, the role that he owns. Tim IS Buzz! Why would they completely castrate this iconic, beloved character? Why remove the one element that makes us want to see it? #stupidHollywooddecisions.

I totally agree with both of them, the movie would have done much better had they kept Tim… the true voice of Buzz Lightyear!
