Ukraine’s President Joins the Fight in The Streets Even Though The U.S. Offered Him a Way out
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is being called a hero.
Not only because of his brave, swift action against the Russian attacks, but for the fact that the U.S. offered him a way to evacuate, a way out, and he declined.
He decided to stay with his country and fight against Russian invaders than run from the problem and watch from a far.
When an American offer to help him evacuate, he insisted he would stay and said “The fight is here,”. He also stated: that he needed anti-tank ammunition but “not a ride.”
Since the attacks broke out in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been in the streets with his people fighting for his country.
In a video recorded on a downtown street, he offered his people reassurance that the country’s military would stand up to the Russian invasion.
He also informed his people that he had not left the city and that claims that the Ukrainian military would put down arms were false.
“We aren’t going to lay down weapons. We will protect the country,”. “Our weapon is our truth, and our truth is that it’s our land, our country, our children. And we will defend all of that.”
He has shown bravery to his country and everyone around the world watching. He is a great example of what it looks like to stand up to bullies.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is everything a true hero and a true leader is. Other country’s should take notes because he is an amazing and well-respected man.
