What Is Clubhouse and Why Is Everyone Talking About It?
For the last few days all I’ve seen is people talking about Clubhouse and you probably have to.
So, I finally was like okay, what is happening here? What Is Clubhouse and Why Is Everyone Talking About It?
Apparently, Clubhouse is a new social media platform but get this – you need an invitation to join.
It is also only available for iPhone users right now.
Yeah, it’s like a super secret clubhouse (hence the name) that is currently by invitation only.
I went into my app store on my iPhone and downloaded the app and was greeted with this message:
You can reserve your username and you’ll get a text when it’s your turn to join but who knows how long that’ll be.
If you want to be part of the cool crowd that joins first, you need to know someone that has an invite they can give you.
“Clubhouse is a space for casual, drop-in audio conversations — with friends and other interesting people around the world,”
“Go online anytime to chat with the people you follow, or hop in as a listener and hear what others are talking about.”
Once you are in, what exactly is Clubhouse?
Once you’re inside Clubhouse, you can follow people, clubs or certain topics.
There are rooms which you can join and chat with other likeminded people.
The rooms have moderators and you can raise your hand to speak but it’s up the moderators if they allow you to speak.
It sort of reminds me of Snapchat but without the visuals like the videos and filters.
So check around and see if you have a friend that would be willing to give you an invite!
