The 2022 Oscars have been one wild ride this year.

First, Will Smith slaps Chris Rock in the face when Chris made a comment about Will’s wife.

Then, Will wins an Oscar for Best Actor and literally brings everyone to tears.

He first references Denzel Washington for sharing his quote with him.

“Denzel just said to me – at your highest moment, be careful. That’s when the devil comes for you,”

And then he goes on to saying:

“I want to apologize to the academy. I want to apologize to all my fellow nominees. This is a beautiful moment and I’m not crying for winning an award. It’s not about winning an award for me. It’s about being able to shine light on all of the people.”

He goes onto naming fellow cast members and the directors. He continues with:

Love with make you do crazy things.

He continued rambling as he cried and then finished his acceptance speech saying:

Thank you, I’m hoping the academy invites me back. Thank you

He didn’t once say he was sorry for smacking Chris Rock but maybe that was his way of saying sorry?

Well, who knew Will Smith could go from full on rage to full blown tears in a matter of 30 minutes. Sheesh!
