There was a lady aboard an American Airlines flight who tried to open the door to the plane mid-flight. She ended up duct taped to a plane seat.

Please, American Airlines, if I’m ever on a flight and someone gets up and tries to open the hatch door, PLEASE restrain them by whatever means are necessary!

There was a little situation aboard an American Airlines flight, and one TikTok user caught part of it on film.

Of course, the video went viral almost immediately, but it has since been taken down — but not before there were screenshots taken that proved the incident happened.

The emergency situation happened after midnight on a flight from DFW (Dallas/Ft Worth, TX) to CLT (Charlotte, NC).

About an hour after the plane took off there was a commotion on the plane, and things started to get a bit sticky (see what I did there?).

Flight attendants started running up and down the aisles, and whispering frantically to one another — I would have panicked.

According to @lol.ariee on TikTok, the attendants started quickly locking bathroom doors and taking luggage bags out from the overhead compartments.

None of the passengers knew what was going on, but obviously something BIG was happening.

Finally, the pilot made an announcement over the intercom system: there was “a bad situation in the plane” and he asked that everyone remain seated.

Then the screaming started. It got louder and louder, and the passengers started realizing this wasn’t a joke.

Towards the end of the flight, @lol.ariee said that a flight attendant sat down next to them, and explained what had happened aboard the plane.

Apparently a woman with some mental issue decided she needed to get off the plane, and she went over to the door and was trying to open it.

[She] had an outburst and like, had the urge to get off the plane. And she was saying, ‘I need to get off this plane,’ and she went up to the exits and started banging on the doors, saying, ‘You need to let me off this plane!’

I guess it took all five flight attendants to subdue her and like literally take her down.

So, the flight attendants did the only thing they could think to do.

They used duct tape to secure her to one of the seats, ensuring she couldn’t hurt anyone, including herself.

American Airlines confirmed the incident, telling The Post the woman assaulted and bit a flight attendant after she “attempted to open the forward boarding door” and was restrained “for the safety and security of other customers and our crew.”

For the safety and security of other customers and our crew, the individual was restrained until the flight landed at CLT and could be met by law enforcement and emergency personnel.

Now, lest you are concerned about the lady, emergency personnel met the plane at the gate, and took her to a nearby hospital.

While in flight from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to Charlotte (CLT) on July 6, the crew onboard American Airlines flight 1774 reported a potential security concern after a customer attempted to open the forward boarding door and physically assaulted, bit, and caused injury to a flight attendant.

There is no word on her condition, but she has been placed on the “no fly list” pending an investigation.

I’m good with that. Please keep her off any plane that I’m on.

I mean, I’m totally worried about the state of her mental health, and I really hope she is okay — but that doesn’t mean I want her to fly with me.
