5-Year-Old Calls 911 to Order McDonald’s, Police Officer Delivers
We often hear about kids dialing 9-1-1 for strange reasons but I think this one may top it all.
Last Sunday, a 5-year-old Wyoming boy dialed 9-1-1 and asked the dispatcher on the other end if they could bring the boy McDonald’s.

The best part of this all – a police office actually delivered the boy McDonald’s.
According to reports, 5-year-old Izaiah Hall had an emergency while his grandmother was sleeping but the emergency involved filling his tummy with some delicious McDonald’s.
The call went something like this:
“Kent County 911. What’s your emergency?”
Dispatcher Sara Kuberski who handled the call
“Can you bring me McDonald’s?”
5-year-old, Izaiah
“I’m sorry, what?”

Once the dispatcher realized it was a non-emergent call, she informed the boy she could not deliver him McDonald’s.
However, since it’s protocol to send a Police Officer to ensure the boys safety, the police officer that was dispatched to the house decided to deliver the boy McDonald’s.
Policeman Dan Patterson responded to the call and brought the boy McDonald’s.
“I figured — hey, I’m driving past McDonald’s on my way there and I might as well get him something.”
Officer Dan Patterson
Upon arrival, no one answered the door, so Officer Patterson knocked on Izaiah’s window.
“The first thing he said to me was ‘My grandma’s gonna be so mad. Can you please go away?”
Officer Dan Patterson
In the end, the grandmother was not mad. Instead, she used this as a teaching lesson to teach Izaiah that calling 9-1-1 to order McDonald’s is not an emergency situation and that 9-1-1 should only be called for emergencies.

And in case you’re wondering how the boy was able to call 9-1-1, he used a deactivated phone.
I am so glad that the grandmother used this as a teaching lesson and that ultimately, the boy received his McDonald’s. That officer is a great person and it’s so nice to see good people do kind things.
Now, I am wondering what the boy got from McDonald’s?!
Kudos to the policeman who was so kind. We hear so much about the bad policemen but I choose to believe that most of them are kind people just trying to protect us daily
