Jennifer Lovdahl of Anchorage Alaska bought a Happy Meal six years ago and stored it in her office to keep on hand to show her medical patients what the preservatives and processing of the food does to it…and the results are disturbing to say the least.
In fact, after six years, it’s hard to tell the Happy Meal wasn’t bought just yesterday. “The cardboard is going to decompose before the meal,” she says on her Facebook image. “It’s been 6 years since I bought this “Happy Meal” at McDonald’s. It’s been sitting at our office this whole time and has not rotted, molded, or decomposed at all!!! It smells only of cardboard. We did this experiment to show our patients how unhealthy this “food” is. Especially for our growing children!! There are so many chemicals in this food! Choose real food! Apples, bananas, carrots, celery….those are real fast food.”
While I’m not sure this is going to actually stop anyone from ordering Happy Meals, especially considering how good McDonald’s Coke’s are, it is definitely something to think about when the kids are asking to eat it everyday.
Also, it makes me wonder…what would one of their salads look like after all this time?
