AMC Theatres Is Charging 15 Cents Per Ticket When They Reopen And I Am So Excited
AMC Theatres is finally welcoming back guests to watch movies on the big screen and I can’t wait to get my hands on some movie theatre popcorn with extra butter.
AMC Theatres is scheduled to open on August 20th, exactly one week from today, which is super exciting especially for all you movie goers out there.
But guess what? AMC Theatres has a few tricks up their sleeve to make opening day even more special.
For one day only, AMC Theatres will be charging 15 CENTS for movie tickets which is about the same price individuals would pay in the 1920s.
So basically, we just time traveled back to the past 100 years.
I can’t even fathom paying not even 1 dollar out of my pocket to go see a movie!
However, keep in mind that AMC Theatres is opening a few locations at a time, not all at once; so make sure to check the status on the AMC Theatre near you before you go.
After opening day, AMC Theatres will also be showing older films including “Inception” the 10th anniversary event, “Back to the Future”, “Ghostbusters”, and “Grease” for the price of just $5!
Talk about big time savings.
However, new and upcoming movie releases will cost regular admission price; although snacks such as popcorn, Coca-Cola Freestyle and KidsPacks will all be sold for $5 until the end of October.
So you’re still getting a pretty good deal with the discounted food and drinks!
The overall goal for AMC Theatres is to open approximately two thirds of its more than 600 locations in time for the movie release of Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet.”
The theatre chain is also offering a few incentives for members included in their subscription program.

“We are thrilled to once again open our doors to American moviegoers who are looking for an opportunity to get out of their houses and apartments and escape into the magic of the movies. As our guests return on our first day of resumed operations on August 20, we invite them to join us in celebrating a return to the movies, and in celebrating 100 years of AMC making smiles happen with movies at 1920 prices of only 15 cents each,” said Adam Aron, CEO and president of AMC Theatres, in a press release.

Along with reopening, safety guidlines has been put in place.
AMC Theatres requires face masks for employees and guests, social distancing and reduced auditorium capacity, cashless transactions, a simplified menu, refills are currently unavailable at the moment to reduce contact, daily associate health screenings, and sanitization stations are now available throughout the theatres.
