Camille Vasquez was on an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to New York this week when an elderly man suffered a medical emergency mid-flight and Camille and her bodyguard sprung into action to help.
According to reports, the elderly passenger collapsed and hit his head mid-flight.
Flight attendants began yelling, “Help” and that’s when Camille and her body guard got out of their seats to assist.
Passengers say Camille got ahold of her brother-in-law who is a doctor and he started guiding her through steps on how to check if the man was having a heart attack or brain bleed from the fall.
Camille’s bodyguard also took off his Apple watch to monitor the man’s heart rate.
Luckily, there was a surgeon on board who came to take care of the man until the plane turned around and landed back in LAX to get him medical attention.
People called Camille “wonder woman” after the incident and a flight attendant even gifted her 2 bottles. One bottle of Merlot and champagne as a thank you.
