The race for the best chicken sandwich started with Popeyes when the fast food restaurant added their own crispy chicken in a hot bun.

Since then, fast food chains have been competing and claiming that their sandwiches are the BEST.

Considering that crispy chicken sandwiches are still a popular food item, Chick-fil-A is testing a new type of sandwich to release to the public and it is completely different from what we are used too.

Chick-fil-A is releasing a completely new chicken sandwich recipe for participating locations only for now, according to the company. Depending on customer feedback, they’ll add the sandwich to additional restaurants and I’m hoping they get excellent reports!

The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken sandwich is a spicy yet sweet meal covered in honey and doused with southern-style pimento cheese. It’s also served with their classic bun and jalapeños to top off the spicy flavor.

“The jalapeños add what we call ‘entry-level’ spice,” said Tracy. “They give the sandwich just a little kick, bringing a Southwest influence that pairs well with honey and pimento cheese.”
