You Can Crochet a Mushroom Bed For Your Pet and I am In Love
I have the largest dogs and I also have the TINIEST dog. Her name is Molly and she is about 14-15 years old, a rescue that came to us very sick. She weighs 2.5lbs.
She is ITTY bitty! She loves enclosed beds more than anything, so we usually get her cat beds. I think it makes her feel safe. Well, now I am pretty certain she needs a mushroom bed and I just may have to learn to crochet now…
Adorable right? That tiny one on the left would be perfect for Molly! Most small dogs would probably need the one on the right. These would be perfect for all sorts of critters!
The mini pattern is perfect for Molly, a hamster, rat, ferret, guinea pig, chinchilla, and even a hedgehog! The dimensions are 8.5” diameter x 8” tall on the inside and 10” diameter x 9” tall on the outside.
The mega pattern is perfect for small dogs and cats too! The dimensions 12” diameter x 12” tall on the inside and 15” diameter x 13” tall on the outside
They say that you crochet these with an extra tight gauge so that it is more comfortable as bedding and will retain its shape. The skill level required for this pattern is intermediate.
