Dave Chappelle Was Attacked on Stage and Jamie Foxx Jumped in to Help

Jamie Foxx may just be a hero!

Last night during the Netflix Is a Joke festival Dave Chappelle was attacked by a man who came onto the stage during Dave’s comedy set.

According to reports, actor Jamie Foxx helped Dave Chappelle fight off the man.

The man who attacked Jamie Foxx was reportedly carrying a knife that was attached to a fake gun.

Security guards ended up chasing and overpowering the attacker, while Dave Chappelle continued his performance.

Once Dave returned to the stage, he made a joke about it saying:

“Whenever you’re in trouble, Jamie Foxx will show up in a sheriff’s hat,”

The man who attacked Dave was later taken away in an ambulance and was later arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, the LAPD told The Hollywood Reporter.

The attacker is currently being held on $30,000 bail.
