HBO Announces Release Date for Prequel to ‘Game of Thrones’

In case you haven’t heard, a prequel to Game of Thrones is coming. It is called House of The Dragon.

According to the synopsis, the series will tell “The story of the Targaryen civil war that took place about 300 years before events portrayed in Game of Thrones.”

While the series will return to Westeros, it will have all-new characters and a new storyline.

The show is all about the Dance of the Dragons, a brutal civil war fought between rival factions of the Targaryen family back when they were at the height of their power.

That means we can expect to see lots of dragons vs dragons in the skies above Westeros.

Sounds exciting, right?

And while up this point we’ve only seen a teaser trailer (below) HBO has now announced the release date of the new series:

August 21, 2022.

So, make your HBO subscription is turned on and ready to watch. I am sure this will be the hit of the summer!
