Let’s skip cable from now on..

I have just about had it with these crazy cable bills. It’s ridculous what they charge for cable… especially with sites like these!  Now I just need to figure out how to get some sort of hard drive hooked up to my main TV. I hear an Xbox works pretty well…

My favorite site on the internet is Hulu. This site is a must if you live in the US. You can even sign in and it will save new shows you are subscribed to in your queue.  Never miss an episode of Chuck or Friday Night Lights again.  They also have twitter support and are very nice and helpful!

The ABC website has a pretty good streaming site of their own, and although they don’t offer the cool subscription feature like Hulu, you can use it to stay caught up with Lost and Ugly Betty for sure. They will also stream everything in HD. That’s pretty nice.

You can usually find anything else you want to watch out there, but I am not by any means condoning piracy. Netflix has a cool set top box you can buy to watch movies for free and stream a lot of full seasons of popular TV shows.

If you’re like me and you have a three year old and just aren’t ready to get rid of TV yet… you can get television for just 9.99 a month with Dish Network. That isn’t so bad…. and I don’t feel totally disconnected from the world because I have local television and all that. 🙂

So, happy televisioning!

  1. Isn’t Hulu great? I love their commercials too. Great timing and choices of spokespeople, IMHO.

    Happy TV-ing to you too!
