Summer is almost over which means we need to start thinking of Fall. I fall in love with Fall every year. Fall crafts, Fall Recipes, and of course Fall weather (did I just say “fall” that many times?). So naturally, I wanted to make a sweet fall treat and let me tell you, this Granola Candy Apple certainly hit my Fall spot!
So what are you waiting for? Make this recipe and enjoy a little slice of Fall before it arrives!
Supplies Needed to Make a Granola Candy Apple:
- 4 Apples
- 4 Bags of Craft Caramels
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1-2 Cups Granola
- Wax Paper
- Cookie Sheet
- Wood Popsicle Sticks
How to Make a Granola Candy Apple:
- Prepare your cookie sheet by placing wax paper on the top of it. It should be large enough so apples do not touch.
- Over medium heat place a large sauce pan, then add milk.
- Remove caramels from packaging and place into milk, stir frequently (do not allow to boil).
- Remove stems from apples, wash, rinse, and pat dry.
- Place wood stick in top of apples where the stem should be.
- Hold on to wood stick and dip apple into warm caramel, use a large tablespoon to help evenly coat warm caramel over apple.
- Remove and place apple on wax paper with the wood stick pointing upward.
- Pour your favorite granola over caramel apples, use a clean spoon or use your hands to press granola all around apple until evenly coated.
- Place cookie sheet with wax paper and apples inside of the refrigerator so caramel can set.
- After about 20 minutes you can remove the apples from the fridge and enjoy!
