I’m pretty darn sure that I may be the biggest ‘Dexter’ fan that exists. I have watched the series more times than I am comfortable admitting here. I know it inside and out and may have gotten ones of my own children just as addicted as I am.

Showtime

I always tell people, if you choose to watch the last season then you may want to consider at least skipping the last episode. I mean I was left with a huge gaping hole of “What the efff…..? That’s it?”.

Leaving me like that after all of the years of dedication. Then each time I rewatch the series I put myself through that hell again, although it has gotten easier after watching it so many times.

It’s a conversation that’s been ongoing, and different possibilities have emerged over the years. I think, in this case, the story that’s being told is worth telling in a way that other proposals didn’t, and I think enough time has passed where it’s become intriguing in a way that it wasn’t before.

But, I am ready for redemption! I am so ready for this revival series for Dexter and Michael C. Anthony is as well. He even referred to it as an “unsatisfying” finale.

He’s right. I wanted to see Dexter end up with my favorite female serial killer Hannah, and his son to live out a long happy life doing what they do.

And let’s be real: people found the way that show left things pretty unsatisfying, and there’s always been a hope that a story would emerge that would be worth telling. I include myself in the group of people that wondered, ‘What the hell happened to that guy?’ So I’m excited to step back into it. I’ve never had that experience of playing a character this many years on.

I mean, I am totally fine that Dexter took a little time to be a lumberjack. But he is needed elsewhere and that is with his child and Hannah.

I mean Dexter’s dark passenger was born from the experience of his mother’s brutal death. What if Harrison has that same dark passenger? He definitely needs his dad to be there to teach him Harry’s code.

Production for the ‘Dexter’ revival is starting soon. I am so super excited!
