As we near closer to Halloween, I am writing up my horror movie watch list and at the top is rewatching The Haunting Of Hill House before Season 2 is released but you should know that People Are Saying ‘The Haunting Of Hill House’ Season 2 Is Scarier Than The Original and that makes me wonder if I truly want to see it.
Yes, I find myself easily scared when it comes to paranormal type movies but this show also just creeped me to my core.
With that being said, according to the creator Mike Flanagan, Season 2 also known as The Haunting of Bly Manor, is supposed to be even scarier than the original.
In a recent interview, Mike said:
“For Henry James fans, it’s going to be pretty wild, and for people who aren’t familiar with his work, it’s going to be unbelievably scary. I already think it’s much scarier than season one, so I’m very excited about it.”(Source)
He continued saying:
“We’re looking at all the ghost stories of Henry James as the jumping-off point for the season, so it very much is a whole new deal. It’s a cool way to expand on some of the things I loved about season one, but within the framework of new story, without having to be restrained by the decisions we made last time.”(Source)
For those of you that don’t know, Henry James “was arguably the greatest practitioner of what has been called the psychological ghost story. His stories explore the region which lies between the supernatural or straightforwardly marvelous and the darker areas of the human psyche.”
You can pick up the Ghost Stories of Henry James and catch up on what he’s all about before the new season comes out.
Overall, the new season sounds creepy and one that might make it hard for you to sleep. You have a bit of time to prepare yourself as The Haunting of Bly Manor isn’t set to release until 2020.
