Seth MacFarlane Is Working On A Reboot Of ‘Revenge Of The Nerds’ And I’m Not Sure What To Expect
20th Century Studios is working on a ‘Revenge of the Nerds’ reboot with Seth MacFarlane, the creator of ‘Family Guy’. This could go really well, or really bad.
I’m a fan of both the movie as well as stuff Seth MacFarlane has created, so for me I’m leaning towards this could be really awesome, or it could be really bad. But with reboots, you just never know until it comes out.
Seth MacFarlane is producing the new film through his Fuzzy Door production company.
Keith and Kenny Lucas will be writing as well as starring in the movie. The identical twin brothers are best known for their roles in ’22 Jump Street’. Alex Rubens, of ‘Rick and Morty’ fame will be co-writing the script.
According to Variety the new film will pontificate about today’s nerd culture and what even constitutes a geek in the 21st century,”.
Basically, this is not a remake. There are a lot of things in the original movie that has since been criticized and would never fly in a movie in this day and age.
I’m super curious about how this will all be done since it will need to be so different from the original films. What do you think? Will you give it a try and watch it? Or do you plan to skip this one?
