The Eleventh, And Final Season of ‘Shameless’ Was Just Announced
Say it ain’t so! This is the news I was hoping NOT to hear.
They just announced that the upcoming season will be the 11th, and final season for the show Shameless.
*Sad face*
The show airs on Showtime, and is the longest running scripted series in Showtime’s entire history. If you haven’t been watching it, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!
Shameless is set in the Southside of Chicago, and stars William H. Macy, who plays the alcoholic father of the Gallagher clan, and Emmy Rossum, who plays the eldest daughter.
Unfortunately for everyone, Rossum departed after the finale of the 9th season. But, never fear. There is plenty of drama — and comedy — to last to the end!
This dramedy follows the Gallagher family, who must live in destitution, partly due to the alcoholic tendencies of Frank (Macy’s character).
It is adapted from a British television show of the same name, which also aired for 11 seasons.
If you don’t have Showtime, don’t worry. You can catch up on seasons 1-9 of Shameless on Netflix. Thank God, for Netflix!
Shameless is NOT a kid-friendly show, but you will want to catch it before it is over! Get your binge-watching pants on, and call in sick to work* — you have some serious catching up to do.
*Don’t really call in sick to work. That could end up bad.
