The Rockefeller Christmas Tree Has Been Lit and It’s Stunning To See
New York has finally debuted the lighting ceremony of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree and it has more lights than you can probably guess.

To be exact, this tree has more than 50,000 multi-colored LED lights which is most likely more than what’s wrapped around your living room Christmas tree; not to mention, the star on top of the tree is just as impressive!

Designed by architect Daniel Libeskind, the three dimensional Swarovski star is very heavy, weighing about 900 pounds including 70 spikes featuring 3 million crystals, phew!

The Rockefeller tree transported from a different state for the first time this year was recently illuminated on the first of December while everyone gathered under it in the middle of the Rockefeller Center in Midtown Manhattan.

You can see the spectacular show on Rockefeller Center’s Instagram, here.
