Roy Horn of Siegfried & Roy Has Died Due To Complications From The Coronavirus
Sad news to report. Roy Horn, of the magic duo, Siegfried & Roy, has died at the age of 75.
His cause of death was attributed to complications incurred from developing the coronavirus.
He passed away in a hospital in his hometown of Las Vegas.
Roy previously survived an “attack,” from a tiger back in 2003, although he claims the tiger was protecting him from a possible stroke he suffered while on stage.
Today, the world has lost one of the greats of magic, but I have lost my best friend. From the moment we met, I knew Roy and I, together, would change the world. There could be no Siegfried without Roy, and no Roy without Siegfried.
Siegfried said in a statement
Siegfried and Roy had an uber popular magic show in Las Vegas from 1990, until the incident of 2003. The show featured big cats, including the tiger that mauled Roy, and severed his spine.
Roy was a fighter his whole life including during these final days. I give my heartfelt appreciation to the team of doctors, nurses and staff at Mountain View Hospital who worked heroically against this insidious virus that ultimate took Roy’s life.
