If you live along the East Coast of the United States, listen up!!

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but gas prices have been out. of. control.

I know it is more expensive in certain locations, but I freak out when I see the gas $$ go up over $5 a gallon.

That’s why I was pleasantly surprised, and a bit shocked, to see my local Sheetz gas station selling gas for $3.99 per gallon.

WHAT?!? We haven’t seen prices that low in months!

Turns out, this is a thing that Sheetz is doing, and I love them for it!

Just about everyone in the U.S. heads out somewhere special for the Fourth of July.

I know, we are taking a roadtrip to Washington, DC. I fully expect to pay hundreds of dollars in gas.

There is some good — nay, excellent — news for those of us lucky enough to live along the East Coast.

Sheetz gas stations are lowering gas prices to $3.99 a gallon through July 4, to help out all those people packing it up and hitting the road for the Fourth.

I couldn’t be more excited about this. You can bet I’m hitting up the Sheetz app, and finding every single Sheetz location along our route!

According to USA Today, Sheetz is temporarily dropping the price on 2 kinds of its gasoline.

Effective immediately, the convenience store chain is charging $3.99 a gallon for Unleaded 88 and $3.49 a gallon for E85.

USA Today

Now, I get the Unleaded 88. It is the least expensive of the gasolines — which I can still hardly afford. It is for vehicles that were made in 2001 or newer. You can also put it in light-duty trucks, SUVs, and flex fuel vehicles.

Hear this, and hear it well: E85 can ONLY be used in most Flex Fuel vehicles. Don’t go sticking it in your regular car’s gas tank.

Please don’t take my word for it. Check your owner manual for the deets on what kind of gas you can put in your vehicle.

According to AAA, the national average of gas has dropped to $4.87 a gallon, with the most expensive gas sold in Hawaii, Alaska, and the West Coast.

I can tell you from experience, gas usually goes up over the weekend of the 4th. Supply and demand.

BUT, it’s the perfect time to hit up Sheetz!!

Get yourself a fresh made sandwich, a Pina Colada Iced Red Bull (my fave), and some $3.99 gas while you still can.

By the way, according to Forbes, you can find Sheetz locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina.
