Stranger Things is getting an animated spinoff, and I couldn’t be more excited about this one!
As we know, Stranger Things is ending with Season 5, and we have to say goodbye to all our best friends who hang out in the Upside Down.
I’m going to be real — I almost don’t want Season 5 to start, because I know it will be the beginning of the end.
But, as it turns out, we get to stay in our favorite sleepy town of Hawkins, Indiana just a little bit longer.
Stranger Things creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, are currently working on an animated spinoff that will air on — of course — Netflix.
According to Entertainment Weekly, this animated Stranger Things series will be “inspired by the Saturday morning cartoons the Duffers used to watch as kids.”
We’ve always dreamed of an animated Stranger Things in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up loving, and to see this dream realized has been absolutely thrilling.Entertainment Weekly
Here’s what we know about the new animated Stranger Things: Nothing.
They are keeping plot details — all the details, really — on the hush-hush.
But you know, if it’s Stranger Things, it’s going to be one hell of a ride!

Now, last year, animators created Stranger Things shorts that reimagined famous scenes from the show in cartoon form.
The collection was called… Stranger Morning Cartoons, and it was so good!
We have NO IDEA if the new Stranger Things animated series will be anything like this series of shorts, but it’s a great jumping off point!
