NO!! My day is ruined. My week is ruined. My summer is ruined.

I have just about the worst news ever.

Yellowstone has been canceled.

I’m not talking about next season being the last.

No — *cry* — I’m talking about, after the second half of season 5, they are calling it quits.

Thanks a lot, Kevin freaking Costner.

Why Has Yellowstone Been Cancelled?

According to reports, Yellowstone has been cancelled following the second part of Season 5 due to drama with Kevin Costner.

I can’t even tell you how unhappy this makes me.

Yellowstone/Paramount

This is almost as bad as them finishing the story of 1883 after 1 dang season.

Side Note: That ending was devastating. I don’t know that I’ve cried so hard over a show since McDreamy died on Grey’s Anatomy.

The Paramount Network has announced that a spinoff is in the works — but, at this point, I don’t care.

I’m not ready to say goodbye to Rip and Kayce. I mean, and the rest of the clan, of course.

Sure, Matthew McConaughey is still in talks to make an appearance in a Yellowstone spinoff.

And, that’s all fine and dandy.

Yes. I’m looking forward to it.

But, I’m not ready to say goodbye to the Dutton gang at the Yellowstone.

Yellowstone has been the cornerstone on which we have launched an entire universe of global hits – from 1883 to Tulsa King, and I am confident our Yellowstone sequel will be another big hit, thanks to the brilliant creative mind of Taylor Sheridan and our incredible casts who bring these shows to life.

Chris McCarthy, President & CEO Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios

You know — since I’m such a big Yellowstone fan — I’ll let you know of any and all news that comes our way regarding spinoffs, prequels, and sequels.

What do you think? Are you as distraught as I am about Yellowstone being canceled?
