You Can Take A Virtual Tour Of Petra, The Lost City Of Stone

Have you ever heard of Petra? It is known as the “City of Stone” and was created over 2,000 years ago by the Nabataeans.

Petra is located in Jordan, in the southwestern desert. It has tombs and temples carved into its pink sandstone. Petra is also known as “Rose City” because of this.

A few years ago, Queen Rania of Jordan partnered with Google to preserve the location digitally. It is very old and they wanted the future to have access to this historic site.

While we are still stuck at home, this gives us a new destination to explore! I can only imagine how amazing this would be to see in person!

The video tour is narrated by Queen Rania. She will take you through the whole thing. You will see the Gateway to the Siq, then through a mile-long gorge. You will see The Treasury and The Monastery.
