There might be some trouble getting your groceries delivered soon. Instacart workers are talking about a strike, and it just may happen.

They have made the demands clear and plan to go on strike Monday and continue until Instacart agrees to meet the demands. They want hazard pay and Safety equipment.

They are asking for an additional $5 per order as well as a default tip of at least 10% per order. I really do hope that people are tipping them well! They are doing something that you do not want to do, make sure you tip them good!

For the past several weeks, Instacart Shoppers and Gig Workers Collective have been urging Instacart to take proper safety precautions. We have been ignored.

They are also asking for things like hand sanitizer, soap, and disinfectant wipes. They are also requesting expanded paid leave for those that have health conditions making them unable to work at this time and those that have been told to self-quarantine.

This strike information came out after Instacart announced that it was going to hire 300,000 additional workers.
