This Woman Made A Cake Of The Viral Bernie Sanders Meme And My Mind Is Blown
So, I thought the crochet Bernie doll was over the top skills, and it most definitely is. But Rosie Cake-Diva created a whole cake of Bernie!
Yea, a cake that is a replica of the viral image of Bernie at the inauguration, in great detail!
I am shooketh!
First of all, I can barely get a plain cake to turn out. I use the kind from the box most often and still lose.
Practice, skills, and magic. There has to be magic involved right?
She recorded the whole process, then sped it up so it is in one short 3:16 long magical video.
She starts off by creating a stand to hold his sitting form and build around. This base is so important to the structure of the entire cake.
Next, she layers 4 cakes on to the stand, each with a layer of frosting between them. This is the base that she will carve the bulk of the cake from.
Once she had the shape carved, she covers this in chocolate frosting. Then she begins to form Bernie’s legs.
The details she put into the pants alone are insane. She has every fold in there with great detail.
Next, she builds out Bernie’s coat. Even watching this, I am wondering how someone could possibly possess this much skill.
When she starts creating the face, I’m in total awe of her skill again! How does a person create like this with food?
Once she has the head created, she attaches it to the body. Then the mask is attached.
Hand-painted features
This part is super amazing to me, she paints the features on to his face, applies his hair, adds his glassed, and builds a chair.
Bernie has to have his now world famous mittens right? She adds those and then hand paints the details on.
I’m speechless…
She nailed every single detail with amazing accuracy, this is a CAKE!
