This isn’t your normal “impossible” plant-based fast food that you can find at Burger King, Starbucks, or McDonald’s.

Chick-fil-A just quietly dropped a fried cauliflower sandwich, and I have to try it.

Chick-fil-A

This tasty sandwich features a tender whole cauliflower, and it’s prepared the same way as your classic Chick-fil-A’s fried chicken sandwich.

They marinate it, bread it in Chick-fil-A’s signature seasonings, and then they pressure-cook it to perfection.

I’m not going to lie, this sounds amazing to my little vegetarian palate.

Guests told us they wanted to add more vegetables into their diets, and they wanted a plant-forward entrée that tasted uniquely Chick-fil-A.

This cauliflower sandwich has been in the works at Chick-fil-A for nearly 4 years.

They waited to bring it out until it was perfect, and I can’t wait!

Now, of course, there is a bit of a catch.

This cauliflower sandwich is in the “test” phase, and it’s only going to be available in three different markets.

But, if you live in Denver, Colorado, Charleston, South Carolina, or North Carolina’s Greensboro-Triad region, you are one of the lucky ones who gets to try this new take on the vegetable-based sandwich.

We explored every corner of the plant-based space in search of the perfect centerpiece for our plant-forward entrée — Time and time again, we kept returning to cauliflower as the base of our sandwich.

Don’t run to your Chick-fil-A demanding the cauliflower sandwich just yet.

It arrives in test market locations on Monday.

You can bet, my butt is going to be first in line to try this new Chick-fil-A cauliflower sandwich!
