Disney World Just Reopened. Here’s Everything You Can Expect During Your Visit.
Disney World is FINALLY starting its reopening phases on July 11th, and the world couldn’t be more giddy! They are READY for their Disney.
Things are going to look different for awhile at the parks. We know they are requiring face masks, they aren’t having anything that draws a big crowds — like fireworks or big parades, and they aren’t doing character meet-and-greets.
So what WILL Disney have to bring the magic? It wouldn’t be Disney World, if you didn’t see characters, AMIRITE?!? Disney has had to get creative with the way they bring the characters to the guests.
Here is what we know:
According to Good Morning America, each park is going to have its own special magic.
The Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are going to be the first two parks to open on July 11th.
Magic Kingdom
At Magic Kingdom, you can expect three fun pop-up events throughout the day.
If you are in Fantasyland, you may be lucky enough to spot Anastasia and Drizella hanging out on a balcony at Cinderella’s Castle.
There will be a Princess Processional through the streets of Magic Kingdom, lead by Merida on her horse, Angus. There will also be a float behind Merida, carrying Cinderella, Bell, Rapunzel, Tiana, Jasmine, and Snow White. It’s not a full-on parade, but you will still get to see the princesses.
If you are patient, and make a wish upon that star, you may see Mickey and his Pals on the parade route throughout the day, reminding guests to “Get Their Ears On.” It wouldn’t be Disney, without seeing the Fab Five, AMIRITE?!?
Animal Kingdom
In Animal Kingdom, Timon and Rafiki or Pocahontas with Meeko will be on a boat on the Discovery River, waving for all guests to see.
Donald’s Dino Boat Bash!: Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Launchpad McQuack wave to guests from their party boat as “Donald’s Dino Bash!” moves from Dinoland U.S.A. to Discovery River.

There will also be a boat of Discovery Drummers that will be sailing around to entertain the people on the banks. Dance to that beat!
On July 15th, Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will reopen — side note: my favorite parks!!
Epcot
Along the route of The World Showcase in Epcot, you may run into one of the Fab Five. You can’t stop for pictures with your favorite character, but you can tell them ‘Hello‘ with a wave.
You may also catch a glimpse of Anna and Elsa as they walk through The World Showcase.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
In Disney’s Hollywood Studios head on over to the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. You may be lucky enough to see Rey and Chewy over by the Millenium Falcon — A.K.A. The fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.
A contingent of First Order Stormtroopers join Kylo Ren in patrolling the landing platform at Docking Bay 9, where they’ve arrived aboard their TIE Echelon assault vehicle.

Normally pre-school age kids would be excited for this, but my kids just said they want to see it. Ha! A couple times a day, you may spot Disney Junior characters riding and waving from cars on Hollywood Boulevard. Make sure you have your toddlers ready!!
Who doesn’t love a good Pixar bash! You’ll spot favorite Pixar characters working their way down Hollywood Boulevard. Look for Mr. Incredible and his family. Woody and his toy pals will also be there.
It might not be the same exact Disney World that we know, but it will still be fun and magical. Leave it to Disney!!
