Easy Pumpkin Chili

When I think of chili, I think of a thick and hearty stew full of meat, spices, and a kick of heat.

This chili brings all of that, PLUS it is super easy to make, and it uses the food of the season — PUMPKIN!!

Feed this to your guests at your next get together. Everyone will be asking how you made this DELICIOUS chili. Nobody will even know you used pumpkin puree — and it could NOT be easier.

How To Make Pumpkin Chili

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pound of Ground Beef
  • 1 Can of Crushed Tomato
  • 1 Can of Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 Jar of Salsa
  • 1 Packet of Chili Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • Water

Directions

Brown ground beef in a big pot until no longer pink, and drain off fat.

Add to ground beef the can of tomato, can of pumpkin puree, salsa, chili seasoning ground cinnamon.

Remember that jar of salsa? Fill the empty jar with water, and throw it in the pot.

Set temperature on medium low, and tilt a lid onto the pot.

Cook for 45 minutes at just under a simmer.

Stir it frequently!

Serve with a dollop of sour cream, some shredded cheese, and some red onions if desired.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound of Ground Beef
  • 1 Can of Crushed Tomato
  • 1 Can of Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 Jar of Salsa
  • 1 Packet of Chili Seasoning

Instructions

  • In a large pot, brown ground beef, and drain.
  • To the beef in the pot add the next 5 ingredients.
  • Fill empty salsa jar with water, and add that to pot.
  • Cook on medium low heat for 45 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Enjoy

Notes

Serve your chili with a dollop of sour cream, shredded cheese, and red onion if desired.
If you want to make it a little "extra," add a can of rinsed dark kidney beans while cooking.
To give your chili a kick of flavor, add a 12 ounce can of beer while cooking.
