BLACK FRIDAY… ah, that magical day after Thanksgiving, when we all go spend half-a-year salary on Christmas gifts for those we feel obligated to love. Steals and deals abound, and we all rush to be the first in line.

Every year, it seems like stores are opening more and more early, with some even being open on Thanksgiving day, in hopes that people forego family time, and head out to do their annual shopping early.

This actually means that EMPLOYEES have to forego family time to cater to the shoppers who want to get an early deal.

You know why it’s called BLACK FRIDAY? It’s because all year, stores run “in the red” financially. They all know however, this one day of the year will see a giant spike in sales, sending them right into “the black.”

Well, this year, there are some store that have decided to let their employees have the holiday off. They have chosen NOT to open on Thanksgiving, and wait until Friday to open their doors.
