Jerry Springer Has Died

It’s always a sad day when we hear about someone passing and today is one of those days…

Jerry Springer, famous for being a talk show host on The Jerry Springer Show for 27 years, has died.

Aside from his own show, Jerry Springer was known for being a politician.

He ran a failed campaign for U.S. Congress in 1970, got elected to Cincinnati’s City Council in 1971 and became the city’s mayor in 1977. He only served one term.

According to TMZ, a family spokesperson told TMZ that Jerry was battling a “brief illness.”

Their sources told them it was pancreatic cancer that was diagnosed a few months ago, and this week he took a turn for the worse.

Also according to reports, he died Thursday morning, peacefully at his home in the Chicago area.

Jerry Springer was 79 years old at the time of his death.
