Kanye West Just Dropped A 30-Minute Documentary And I’m Not Exactly Sure What I’m Watching
Kanye. Seriously. What in the world is going on with you, my friend?
Dude has said and done some crazy shiznit — social media rampages galore, going through behavioral therapy, pulling out of Coachella at the last minute, threatening Pete Davidson, getting banned from the Grammy’s — the list goes on.
Now, he is making news again, because he just dropped a 30-minute documentary on YouTube titled Last Week.
It’s a video diary of sorts, but I’m not exactly sure what I’m watching.
In the video, Kanye — surprise, surprise — doesn’t hold much back, including specific names, as he raps along to a muffled beat.
You a fake b***h / You don’t really love Ye / Go listen to Drake, b***h
Kanye West
The documentary / diary is hella disjointed, and hard to watch IMHO. But, I’m betting it gets a million plus views.
When it opens up, we see what looks like video game characters — but it’s actually real people –in Shibuya / Shinjuku City.
If you are watching the video and are like, “WTF am I watching?!?” you aren’t alone.
After the “video game” is complete — yes, it actually has a conclusion — we cut to a grainy video of Kanye in a car rocking back and forth, and mouthing along to a very disjointed rap.
You don’t have no idea what it take b***h / Go listen to Lil Baby / Listen to future, b***h / Trynna get away / Feeling like a fugitive / Uncle Snoop voice / Baby I don’t love hoes / You don’t love Ye / You love moneybagg yo
Kanye West
Next thing you know, we are sitting in on a merch meeting with Ye and a group of people who we assume are in the fashion industry.
But then, we cut to a clip of Ye talking about buying the company out from under “them.”
I had to learn. Just because I could see the future, to stay in like, you know, while you’re heading toward the future, don’t ever go all the way to the state of love. Because then, you’re fully drunk.
Kanye West
At one point in the video, Ye is showing a group of executive-type-people what appears to be a pornographic video. It’s somehow supposed to be a symbol of loyalty and discomfort.
My head hurts right now trying to make sense of this docu-video.
I’m going to spare you the entire 30-minute synopsis of this video.
