Little Mermaid Is Coming To LIVE TV In November, And My Poor Unfortunate Soul Is Ready
Mark your calendars for November 5th, because that is when ABC is bringing us The Wonderful World of Disney’s LIVE version of The Little Mermaid.
Yes, it’s live-action, but it will acutally be LIVE.
This version is going to bring with it some pretty big names.
Auli’i Cravalho, who did the voice of Moana in … well … Moana, is set to play Ariel.
If your kids are anything like mine, “How Far I’ll Go” has been on repeat in the car and on Alexa. So, we know Auli’i can SING! I can’t wait to hear her as my beloved favorite Disney princess, Ariel.
Shaggy is all set to play Sebastian, the Carribean crab, which was an interesting casting choice. We will see how that plays out.
John Stamos will play Chef Louis, all ready to cook up some tasty “poissons” for the Prince and Ariel.
Graham Phillips, from Riverdale and The Good Wife fame, will play Prince Eric. I can see that!
We, of course, couldn’t forget the evil queen herself, Ursula. She will be played by none other that Queen Latifah. I can’t wait to hear her version of “Poor, Unfortunate Souls!”
We get a our first glimpses of the show in this trailer released by ABC.
I can’t wait! Will you be watching?
I’m also super-excited for the Live-Action Little Mermaid that is still in the casting phase of production!
