Old Bay Vodka Exists and Apparently It Tastes Exactly Like the Seasoning
First there was Lay’s potato chips vodka, and then there was Arby’s flavored vodka that tastes exactly like their curly fries.
We’ve even seen color changing unicorn vodka if you want to take it that far and clearly, the vodka business isn’t stopping at glittered vodka in a bottle.
Considering the world has now come to shoving fan favorite foods in an alcohol bottle, the next food to be reprised as something you can mix your cocktail with includes a popular seasoning usually dusted on crab legs.
Enter: Old Bay Vodka!
That’s right, the bright red and yellow seasoning bottle that goes lovely on a fresh lobster has been moved from grocery store shelves to the bar.
Made together from McCormick & Company and George’s Beverage Company, you can expect this unique, flavored vodka to be made from corn six times distilled, featuring notes of Old Bay, and a very smooth finish with 35% ABV.
“Old Bay has been a fan-favorite for over 75 years in the Chesapeake Bay region and beyond,” Chief Marketing Excellence Officer at McCormick, Jill Pratt stated in a press release. “Our fans are loyal and passionate when it comes to all things Old Bay. We’re thrilled to work with George’s to bring the one-of-a-kind flavor of Old Bay to fans in entirely new, exciting, and innovative ways.”
So if you’re craving Old Bay seasoned fries at dinner, why not pair it with Old Bay vodka to wash it down?
You can snag the Old Bay flavored vodka at Breakthru Beverage MD and Breakthru Beverage DE where the new vodka is expected to drop sometime this month, in the middle of March.
