Silence…

Fireworks hold a special place in my heart. There’s just something about watching their explosions paint the sky. They’re magic.
You don’t believe me? Think about it. Everyone rushes to a central location, arms filled with blankets. chairs, flashlights and bug spray– there’s hustle and bustle. Kids laugh and play with one another–laughter.
And then the fireworks start. What happens? Silence. No matter where you are, the venue goes quiet, save the boom of the firework.
See? Magic.
So true.
—when magic happens….Silence follows. xx
🙂 Nice post!
I love fireworks, too – but my kids hate the sound, so we watch our city’s displays from our attic window, where it really IS silent! LOL!
shhhhhhh! I didn’t notice but I’m going to pay attention next time. Good call out J!
@Dust, Heh– and now you will never un-notice it!
I love fireworks for that very reason! I wrote about this today on my blog too 😀 I love that sense of community!
@Rebecca T, Yes! That’s always a happy part, too!
? You must have not been where I was! There were kids running around everywhere, people talking, yelling, laughing. Sheesh! Even my wife, who is obsessed with the “Finale” kept asking, “Was that the finale?” Over and over.
Silly humans. Messing with my celebration
@jason, Well that’s just the opposite of fun!
