The First Look at Netflix’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is Here

I am so excited because this is a series I’ve been waiting for! Netflix has officially announced the release date of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance including first looks at scenes from it.

Netflix has officially announced the series will launch on Netflix Friday, August 30, 2019. The 10-episode show is a prequel to the fan favorite, The Dark Crystal directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz.

The series is once again set on the world of Thra and concerns three Gelflings who discover the horrifying secret behind the Skeksis’ power and set out on an epic journey to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world. The Gelflings are voiced by Taron Egerton, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Nathalie Emmanuel.

Like the original film, the series will use puppets and there will be no CGI in the series.
