Chloe is worried.
You see, her Uncle Bobby is getting married, and she doesn’t want to share her uncle with anybody.
They have so much fun together, and she is scared a wedding will ruin their time together.
Uncle Bobby is getting married to his special friend, Jamie. They announced it at a special picnic.
Chloe is supposed to be the flower girl, but she is afraid.
Then, Uncle Bobby and Jamie take her to the ballet and the soda shop.
The three of them go sailing and roast marshmallows together.
Chloe finds herself learning that she isn’t losing Uncle Bobby, but gaining an Uncle Jamie.
This is basically a word-for-word re-telling of the author’s, now out-of-print 2008 book, which featured guinea pigs as the main characters.
In this NEW version, the illustrations have been changed from guinea pigs to people, but the message stays the same.
It’s a story of love. Not just between a couple getting married, but between a girl and her favorite Uncle Bobby.
This beautiful book has been reworked, in partnership with GLAAD.
