Have You Ever Wondered Why Hobby Lobby Doesn’t Carry Halloween Decor?

I am in full Halloween mode right now. Like, I could decorate for Halloween at this very moment.

So, of course, I am anxiously waiting for stores in my area to stock for Halloween and to my surprise, many haven’t yet.

I remember years ago that Hobby Lobby used to be THE place to visit for Halloween and Christmas mid-July but turns out, Hobby Lobby hasn’t been stocking Halloween decor (at least my store they haven’t) the last 2 years or so and I started to wonder why…

Well, apparently Hobby Lobby no longer stocks real Halloween decor items due to their religious beliefs.

In fact, people have been asking employees why Hobby Lobby isn’t carrying Halloween and this was a response:

Last year when I went to Hobby Lobby and asked why they don’t have Halloween stuff, they said it was because of the religious and historical background tied to the roots of Halloween. They said it goes against the company’s religious beliefs to carry Halloween stuff.

Now, of course you’ll find all sorts of pumpkins and fall themed items but you won’t find things relating to Halloween like zombies, spiders, witches, skulls, etc.

Some people are reporting their local Hobby Lobby carries the cutesy Halloween decor while others say they have NONE. So, it’s not entirely consistent.

But if you’re looking for the ya know, the real good spooky Halloween stuff, it’s not at Hobby Lobby.

And it’s too bad because I bet if Hobby Lobby did sell Halloween items, it would be ADORABLE and sell like hot cakes.

So, as you are out shopping for Halloween decor this year, you might want to skip Hobby Lobby.
