Thanksgiving this year will look different. For us, we plan to host a virtual Thanksgiving with family so we can visit and converse without the worry of getting anyone sick.

We typically use Google meets but this year, we may just end up using Zoom because Zoom will be removing their traditional 40-minute time limit.

This means, you can virtually spend all the time you want with family this Thanksgiving without your visit being cut short!

Zoom announced this via Twitter when they posted saying:

“As a thank you to our customers, we will be lifting the 40-minute limit for all meetings globally from midnight ET on Nov. 26 through 6 a.m. ET on Nov. 27 so your family gatherings don’t get cut short.”

So, beginning Midnight on Thanksgiving Day until 6 AM the next morning, you can chat with friends and family all you want without a time limit and you can do it for free!

Normally, the platform offers free meetings for a maximum of 40 minutes or unlimited if you have a paid plan so this is awesome.

So, if you are looking for a way to connect with friends and family this Thanksgiving, here is your solution!

Stay safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
