Bill Nye is showing SCIENTIFICALLY why it is good to wear a mask, and I love him for it.

I welcome ANYTHING that shows why wearing a mask is better than not. I am part of the at-risk population, and I appreciate anything that shows why wearing a mask is important for everyone.

We all know my favorite face mask meme. It describes why wearing a face mask is important, better than anything else I have seen.

That was, until now. Bill Nye has taken to TikTok to show everyone the importance of wearing face masks. He demonstrates why it is important for your safety, and for those around you.

He talks about how we need to block the movement of air, because that is what spreads the germ particles from your respiratory system, and vice versa.

This is why we wear scarves during the winter. They block the flow of air to your throat and exposed skin. Scarves help keep you snuggly and warm during those cold winter months.

When it comes to face masks, even just a cotton, homemade face mask, with 2 layers of fabric, can block out substantial particles from getting through.

My FAVORITE part of the whole thing is what Bill Nye says at the end of the TikTok video: “If you’re wearing one of these, you’re protecting yourself, and those around you.”

Imagine, all it took was a face mask and a burning candle to make such a strong argument for wearing that mask!

  1. This is so interesting! I remember when I relocated to France, of course with a relocation service http://www.avvinue.com, they manage all of my logistics. However, adjusting to the culture and also having to deal with the epidemic was very tough. Especially once the use of masks was enforced, it soon became part of my essentials when leaving the house and still is today.
