Johnny Depp Is Rumored To Be Signed On For ‘Beetlejuice 2’ And I’m Giddy

Y’all! I’m so freaking excited!! Giddy, if you will.

If this pans out to be true, like MANY are speculating, Johnny Depp might make an appearance in Beetlejuice 2.

Wouldn’t that just be PERFECT?!?

Will Johnny Depp Appear In Beetlejuice 2?

The rumor mill is flying!!

Fans have flooded social media with the claim after they noticed the embattled actor’s name seemed to appear on a call sheet found when they said they searched for the upcoming Beetlejuice 2 —

Now, this will be a film — much like the original — will have Tim Burton attached as the director.

We all know that Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have a special history.

The pair have collaborated on EIGHT previous films: Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sleepy Hollow, Alice in Wonderland, and Dark Shadows.

You can kind of think of them as a couple, right?!? If it’s a Tim Burton film, Johnny Depp is probably attached.

And, for good reason!!

There is no better character actor than Johnny Depp. Go ahead, fight me on it.

And, Tim Burton definitely has unique characters in all of his films.

Here Is What We Know About Beetlejuice 2.

Tim Burton has said that this film would only be made if Michael Keaton would return to reprise his role. Keaton said in March of 2014 that this is the only sequel he’s interested in doing.

Apparently it’s All Systems Go, because some of the original cast is slated to make a comeback in Beetlejuice 2.

[Besides Johnny Depp] starring in the movie are Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder, who are said to be reprising their roles as the trickster ghost Beetlejuice and outcast icon Lydia Deetz.

Now, there is a bit of conflicting information out there. IMDB says that the release date is “TBD,” but they also show a release date of June 2025.

If the film isn’t even out for 3 more years, that is PLENTY of time for Johnny Depp to be over and done with his legal proceedings.

It’s Hollywood, and a LOT can happen in 3 years. Johnny Depp may be back in the good graces of movie studios by then.

He was previously released from his roles as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and he was replaced as Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts franchise.

Both tragic mistakes, IMHO.

All of this was allegedly set in motion when Amber Heard wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post alluding to Johnny Depp as a wife beater.

We are currently awaiting the jury to come back with a verdict in the Johnny Depp versus Amber Heard defamation trial which has played out in Fairfax County, Virginia.
